Saddam was most likely dead to months prior and it would be pathetic of the states to do a half as job and leave Iraq the way it is What do you think will happen if we just leave now? The civilian death toll has already passed 10000, no favours are being done by staying there. Despite the popular misconception, Iraqi's are not incapable of running their own society. If you left now they would have the right to self determination. Sting

If you left now they would have the right to self determination. Sting well Sting they have no money, no food, they get the money they do have from selling oil but they dont know how to manage it. They have been abused for 30 years or so by Saddam Hussein and don't know what to do, I mean, They dont know how to international handle money, they have nothing, they have lived off of Rotted food and bacterial water all their lives. In Afghanistan the soilders dont even use the water their, they use recycled water and their food is transferred by planes. I'm sure its no different in Iraq, if i still had the pictures of my dad in Afghanistan i'd show you their Beds and crap, i think i showed everyone. There was a list of things sent to my mom that we can not send him, this included food. They kept a box of chocolates my mom sent to my dad. so yea. Iraq is in worse shape. Not all people are cooperating with us, if they did it would be easier but while they are throwing gernades at our soilders, we are trying to get food into their country, and they there was a boy in Afghanistan who stood at the landing strip and yelled "**** YOU" all day. There are mines everywhere, you walk into one you dont have a leg anymore. the problems are similar, except Iraq has no leader.

The American civilian death toll has also passed 10,000 and we only lost about 10 or so to the attacks in Iraq any statistics you see on the news are probly screwed up people die of disease and necrosis every day especially in a country like Iraq in truth, I'm guessing the US military only ended up killing around 100 civilians
And if we were to leave Iraq now the most likely course is that some new dictator will step up and take over money is powerful Especially in a country as poor as Iraq and I'm sure there's somebody like that over there and we have no assurance on how he will treat the Iraqi people if he does come to power

yea i mean we dont want Iraq to fall in the wrong hands again. Its like Hitler, they are power hungry. They want everything. If Saddam were still in charge he coulda busted out with a nuclear bomb in 10 years and take out about 500 miles of the US. I mean. If he left aNY of us we'd probably blow the crap out of him like our little ooh and aw campaign like Bush did on May 31st or whatever day it was, but we can get worse

yea. I dont think it was all that shocking and awing. but it drove him away. We wanted him dead or alive, we got him alive, Death Penalty, no, i think he should suffer, not be tortured, suffer, everyday waking up in a small cell, he'll probably be alone, maybe Solitary Confined, if we made him feel how his people felt, that'd be torture, but he is a POW, there are rules against that. We cant even administer the death penalty to him, but Iraq can, even though i think he should be locked in a US Iraq jail, in Iraq, but US based making sure he cant escape
