Thanks for clearing that up luda.
Anyways.
So here's the details about the ctf league season 2 i'm thinking about:
CTF League Season 2
Basically, it costs 10 tickets to get entered into the tournament. This will be required as so people actually have something at stake in the tournament so they can stay interested.
To captain a team, a person will have to pay 20 tickets. A hefty price, but this will make sure they take things seriously and keep showing up.
Obviously the winning team will get double the tickets they paid to enter, and the runner up will get the exact ammount they paid back.
The other option to having captains pay 20 tickets is to have the GCs themselves be the captains. Thus that makes sure not all the gcs are involved in one game and thus someone can be (theoretically) around to host.
Now, for the actual teams. There will be 4 teams of 4 or 5 players each. A draft will be held to determine teams. Anyone not online at the time will be represented by statues.
Once the teams are assembled, a season will be played.
Right now the plan is to have matches three times a week. Two weekdays and one weekend day. The exact days are yet to be determined.
Three times a week each team will play two matches. The tournament's "regular season" will last 2 weeks, so 6 days in all will be used for tournament play, which means each team will play 12 matches.
The playoffs will have a double elimination style to it, with each team seeded 1 to 4 based on regular season records. Anyone that shows up for the first playoff match that has made 10/12 of the team matches will get 5 tickets.
An "allstar game" is still a possiblity, but right now we'll just leave that off.
As for the games themselves, the gametype will be randomed between the 6 major types: Large, Sumo, Small, Indoor1, Indoor2, and Future. Dice will be used for this. Goals will be 7.
If a team doesn't have 4 people online for a schedualed match, then replacements can be found. Obviously people on other teams can't be replacements, so we'll have to find people on the spur of the momment.
I think that covers everything.
Any comments?
