I dont complain about people asking for CTF.
I just dont host CTF.
I also dont ask for requests.
I also dont host.
Epic post.

The people wouldn't choose anything other than ctf, sumo, etc. from this list even if they saw it.
Besides, half of classic can't read anyways. For example, if I'm setting up an event, I'd say "hold up on the pms while I set up" and yet I'll still get 3-4 ppl pm in. I swear they pounce on the red bubble before they read what it says.

Is anyone willing to put descriptions of each event? Or is there descriptions in the GC's only section?

It'd probably be too much work.
I can describe CTF very detailed in 10 paragraphs. Which is long as hell. I can describe CTF vaguely in about 2 paragraphs. Which is still long for that much events.
Maybe we should just say "Hey GC, host somthing different"
Also Luda, if we dont host popular events, they'll complain on the gc forums

CTF is described at my website: www.freewebs.com/aguidetoctfIf we don't host a "popular" or "mainstream" event, ppl say "stop hosting gay events and host ctf"

I don't care if they will complain, I'm wanting the descriptions so you when you put up request you could post the title of the event and under it like 1 simple paragraph or even a sentence explaining it.

Looking at that list, there doesn't seem to be that many extreme variations in events really. I thought there was more, or at least it felt as though there was more las year when people like Tim and Bubbles were GC.

I admit i catch myself hosting the same things, though i ask for requests ALOT. I also try to tweak events so its not the same ol same ol everytime. I go mainstream alot, but i also host stuff right off the top of my head, never done before...some stuff successful, others not so much lol

there's many variations of CTF so it's okay if it's hosted a lot but all-star omfg all-star. it's such a pooty event i cant believe people actually request it.

You can take any event and make it very different, because there is a good dozen or so npcs that could drastically change any event.
Adding ice to ctf, time distortion to sumo, spider form to an LMS, blindess to cats n dogs, drunk mode to babord survivor, etc.

As far as variety go.
Gladius tried hosting something unique yesterday in zols pub, and, well he can admit he did a bad job (Awful job when you consider the fact it was actually physically impossible for the SWAT to win after i tested it). So I decided to fix his event and make it more of a real event, and everyone seemed to like it other than the fact my Terrorists were supposedly (Although unlikely) cheating. So maybe people are being more open minded. They seem to like anything that requires next-to-no thinking.

The people got angry when I put a statue in the middle of the allstar sumo level.
They were like "omg remove the statue". I was like "use some strategy other than standing in the middle", but they were still angry.
Clearly anything that involves brainpower is not liked by the public.

I wouldnt use that as an example Gladius, it's still "run to the centerISH and slash" mindlessly.
Host GC Fort or Naruto Ultimate Shodown or whatever Night called it to see what people dont like.

Also, thanks for fixing the event i attempted. You were right, it was pretty bad, even for a spontaneous event like that. Good work.
