It's the same system, nothing has changed, there was always the capability to set recoil both serverside and clientside.

So which is it:
Do the two HDs have different recoil systems OR Do people just recoil differently b/c of the HDs?

Actually i misread that, they use the same recoil system, but recoil will seem different with the 2 HDs.

The fact that it will seem different has nothing to do with the recoil system, that is the same both ways, the difference is due to the fact that with a serverside HD the recoil angle will be set at the angle inwhich the server sees between the victim and the attacker, which won't always match the angle the client sees between the player and their attacker, and it is clientside where the actual recoiling is processed, so with a serverside HD you might recoil in one direction when you'd expect to recoil in another direction.

You're talking as though I'm comparing the recoil for the clientside and serverside hit detections. If the recoil in the serverside hit detection does not react in the way it used to when the hit detection was previously serverside, then it is simply not the same.

It is reacting in the same way it used to, the script is exactly the same, it didn't even have to be changed to accommodate the Clientside HD.

I always seem to have "an advantage" whatever the HD or location of the server.

I only think Thor has the advantage of serverside in Europe. Not really in the USA though he lagged.
